Technology Strategies

Our clientele conduct business in a fast-paced, globalized information age, often facing similar challenges:

  • Finding, organizing, and making sense of information
  • Dealing with info overload
  • Creating shared awareness and context
  • Collaborating efficiently and effectively
  • Engaging and nurturing meaningful internal and external partnerships

Elements of Information Sharing

Information sharing challenges are social as well as technical.  Solutions must be tailored to support organizational processes and work flows.  When working with organizations to develop these solutions, first, we must have a good understanding of goals, context and audience.  Three overlapping factors are necessary for effective collaboration and information sharing:

  • Collaboration won't occur just because you want it to. People must have a reason to work together.
  • Sharing information is more than process and tools. Organizational and personal readiness to cooperate are essential.
  • Interactions can be assisted by identifying appropriate enabling technologies relevant to the tasks at hand.

Each factor relies on the others. One element alone does not drive collaboration forward.
