Matt Kovalick introduces the first issue of Global Engagement & Outreach | Perspectives
Since 2005, Matt has focused on projects that intersect policy, international affairs and the Web. Previously, he worked at a start-up video production company and as a journalist. Originally from Virginia, USA, Matt studied International Relations at the London School of Economics (MSc) and at Duke Univerisity (AB). From 2000-02, he researched NATO Enlargement while on a Fulbright Scholarship in Vilnius, Lithuania. He enjoys to ski, travel and cook - but spends his free time with toy cars, crayons, and blocks and he and his wife have a 3-yr old son and newborn daughter.
Justin joined Creative Services in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies with a minor in Photography from Ryerson University, Toronto Canada; he has also taken part in a Cinematography Workshop at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Justin brings a wealth of experience as a freelance cameraman and photographer for events, documentaries, and fiction films to the GEO team. He was previously a studio photographer and photo/video instructor for MWR - US Army Garrison Stuttgart, Germany, as well as a marketing assistant /graphic designer for MWR Marketing. Justin is a dual citizen of the U.S.A. and Canada. He enjoys traveling to the unique places that his job brings him to in Eastern Europe and Africa. Justin was once detained in Chad by the "secret police" for taking photos.

Paul Donahue brings years of experience of in documentary filmmaking, creative and content consulting, photography, and education to the Creative Services Team. He holds a M.F.A. in Film, Video, Animation; a M.A. Speech Communication – Cultural and Media Studies; and a M.A. in Philosophy. Paul was the Associate Director of Development for the Romberg-Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies at San Francisco State University. He also taught non-linear digital editing on the Avid Media Composer at Chicago Filmmakers for three years. His documentary film In the Land of Milk and Honey was distributed by The Cinema Guild. Paul speaks English, French & German.
